Charming winter sport village for families
Ötz is situated in the cosy winter sport village, at the beginning of the Ötztal. This valley is named after the village of Ötz. The village is situated at an altitude of 820 metres and is loved amongst families. At the outskirts of the village the cable-car Acherkogelbahn departs and leads to the Oetz-Hochoetz ski area (2020 metres). This small ski area offers 43 km of various red and blue pistes. The area has mainly red slopes and is therefore most suitable for the intermediate skier. Snowboarders and freestyle skiers can enjoy the fun park in this area.
In Ötz there are supermarkets, shops, several restaurants and a number of bars situated. Moreover, there are different ski schools and there is a nursery. In the village you can enjoy ice-skating, sledging on one of the many toboggan runs, swim in the indoor pool, make a tour by snow scooter or enjoy the many hike and cross-country possibilities.
You can reach Kuhtai from Ötz by ski bus where you can explore the 44 km of slopes of the ski area of Kuhtai.
