General description

Experience winter in "royal fashion" and stay overnight at Schloss am See Fischhorn Castle!

This charming castle is a gem in the snowy world of Zell am See. A unique, completely renovated location with spacious apartments that are decorated differently and all bear the name of a gemstone and are also decorated in the corresponding color. In the castle you will also find a common room, the Schlossbar, ski storage, sauna and space to relax. The large castle garden and the ski elevator nearby complete your unforgettable winter vacation.

Located on the outskirts of Zell am See and Bruck an der Großglockner, Schloss am See Fischhorn has a quiet location but amenities are not far away. From this medieval castle with a rich history, you can reach the slopes and the renovated AreitXpress ski elevator which are 3 km away within a few minutes' drive. At this cabin elevator you will also find the ski school with a practice area and ski rental. The ski bus stops 300 meters from the beginning of the driveway.

After a strenuous day on the slopes, it is wonderful to come home to Schloss am See Fischhorn; the vaulted ceilings and high ceilings are entirely in keeping with the level of luxury. You'll also enjoy the sauna, shower and relaxation room (open daily from 2 p.m. - 8 p.m.). There is a general area where you can sit together. In good weather, you can enjoy a nice winter sun on the courtyard terrace. The children can play nicely in the large castle garden that also offers plenty of space for building snowmen, sledding and throwing snowballs!

In the morning you can have fresh rolls delivered, or you can use the breakfast service, which is totally convenient! The center of Bruck an der Großglocknerstraße is 1 km away and offers various facilities such as various stores, restaurants and bars. The nearest supermarket is already 700 meters away. Here you can easily do your daily shopping. Even more entertainment can be found in lively Zell am See with its cozy après-ski which is about 5 km away. In this nice town on the lake you will find a variety of stores, bakeries where you can drink delicious coffee, cozy restaurants and many other stores.

If you choose not to ski for an afternoon or day, the famous Tauern Spa in Kaprun is an absolute must! In this wonderful wellness center you will feast your eyes and enjoy the saunas, steam baths and as many as 11 pools.

At Castle Schloss am See Fischhorn there is ample parking and the castle also has an elevator (accessible via a number of steps at the entrance). You can easily store your ski or snowboard equipment in the ski storage room with ski boot dryer.

4-person apartment Jade:
This apartment is furnished with light green details inspired by the Jade gem stone and is situated at the ground floor, in the west wing of the castle.
This gracious apartment has high ceilings and vaults and a spacious living room with comfortable lounge area, flatscreen TV and a dining area. The kitchen is fully equipped with e.g. four electric hotplates, an oven, microwave, a fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher, toaster, coffee machine and an electric kettle. There is a Wi-Fi internet connection available as well.
The bedroom has a double bed and an ensuite bathroom with a shower and toilet. There is a double bed in the living room for a third and fourth person.

4-person apartment Smaragd:
This apartment is situated on the first floor, in the West wing of the castle. The warm dark green colour of the rare and much demanded Emerald is main focus in the interior of the apartment.
The stylish apartment has high ceilings and wooden beams and a spacious living room with a comfortable sitting corner and flatscreen TV. Separate atmospheric dining corner. The kitchen is fully equipped with e.g. four electric hotplates, an oven, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher, toaster, coffee machine and an electric kettle. There is a Wi-Fi internet connection available as well.
The bedroom has a double bed and an en-suite bathroom with a shower and toilet. There is a double bed in the living room for a third and fourth person. They can also use the second bathroom, which has a bath and a toilet.

6-person apartment Amethyst:
This apartment is furnished with powerful purple details of the Amethyst gem stone and is situated on the third floor, in the West wing of the castle.
The stylish apartment has high ceilings and wooden beams and a spacious living room with a comfortable sitting corner and flatscreen TV. Separate atmospheric dining corner. The kitchen is fully equipped with e.g. four electric hotplates, an oven, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher, toaster, coffee machine and an electric kettle. There is a Wi-Fi internet connection available as well.
The first bedroom has a double bed and an en-suite bathroom with a bath and toilet. Behind a thick, darkening and noise reducing curtain in the living room there is a second (open) bedroom with two double beds. These persons can use the second bathroom with a bath and toilet.

8-person apartment Rubin:
This apartment, with an entrance on the first floor, is divided over the South wing and in one of the castle towers. The apartment is also called the "Roter Salon" thanks to her interior which is based on the intense red colour of the Ruby gem stone.
This gracious apartment has high ceilings and vaults with wooden beams and a spacious living room with comfortable lounge area, flatscreen TV and a dining area. The kitchen is fully equipped with e.g. four electric hotplates, an oven, microwave, a fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher, toaster, coffee machine and an electric kettle. There is a Wi-Fi internet connection available as well.
Behind the long closet wall in the living room there is the first (open) bedroom with a double bed and an en-suite bathroom with a bath and toilet. Via the stairs you will reach an anteroom of one of the castle towers where an interconnecting room with two single beds is found. Behind it is the third bedroom (tower room) with a double bed and an en-suite bathroom with a bath and toilet. There is a double sofabed in the living room for a 7th and 8th person.

10-person apartment Saphir:
Inspired by the rare Sapphire gem stone the apartment has a royal dark blue interior. The apartment is situated on the third floor, in the South wing of the castle. If offers an amazing view towards Zell am See and its slopes.
The gracious apartment has high ceilings and wooden beams and a spacious living room with a comfortable sitting corner, flatscreen TV and a dining corner. The kitchen is fully equipped with e.g. four electric hotplates, an oven, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher, toaster, coffee machine and an electric kettle. There is a Wi-Fi internet connection available as well.
Both bedrooms are suited for four persons, both bedrooms have a double bed and a single bed with pull-out bed. There is a double sofabed in the living room for a ninth and tenth person. The apartment has two bathrooms, both have a bath and a toilet.

12-person apartment Opal:
This apartment is situated on the first floor, in the East wing of the castle. The interior colour is inspired by the gold/black Barn stone gem.

The gracious apartment has high ceilings with wooden beams and a spacious living room with a comfortable sitting corner, flatscreen TV and a dining area. The kitchen is fully equipped with e.g. four electric hotplates, an oven, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher, toaster, coffee machine and an electric kettle. There is a Wi-Fi internet connection available and a panoramic terrace offering an amazing panoramic view. On the terrace there is a tower room (see photos) which is furnished as a lounge area with pillows and a terrace heater.

The first bedroom has a double bed and offers a great view. The second, very large, bedroom has two double box spring beds. The third, even larger, bedroom has three double box spring beds. These box springs can also be used as single beds. These two bed rooms also have an authentic stove. Two bathrooms, of which one with a shower and one with a bath and toilet. Separate toilet.

Next to the 6 above mentioned apartments, you can also use the common areas on the ground floor. These spaces are well suited for dinner and for meetings.
