General description
The recently renovated Chalet Hippo has a good location in Doucy Combelouvière, approx. 6 km from Valmorel. In the morning you can step directly from the chalet on the green slopes up to the Combelouvière chairlift. This part of the Le Grand Domaine ski area is, because of the many green slopes, also suitable for beginners. The Combelouvière chairlift takes you further into the area and you can ski in the direction of Valmorel and even to Saint François Longchamp.
Chalet Hippo exudes the charm of a typical mountain chalet, where it's nice to come home after an active day on the slopes. Your ski equipment is stored dry in the ski storage room with ski boot dryer and you can warm up by the wood stove. Through the large windows in the living room and the panoramic terrace you can enjoy the beautiful view of the surrounding mountains all day long. Furthermore, the chalet has a Wi-Fi internet connection, washing machine and dryer.
The small ski station Doucy has several restaurants, a sports shop/ski rental and a ski school, which can be found approx. 550 meters from Chalet Hippo. Bread service is possible and there are two parking spaces at the chalet.
Layout
The chalet is divided over two floors.
On the first floor is the attractively furnished living room with sitting area, fireplace, television (with Wii console) and dining area. Fully equipped kitchen with hobs, oven, microwave, dishwasher, two refrigerators (one with a freezer compartment), toaster, kettle, coffee maker (Nespresso), blender, raclette and fondue set. From the living room access to the balcony.
On the ground floor four bedrooms, three with double beds and one with bunk beds. Two bathrooms, one with a bath and one with a shower. Two separate toilets.
Furthermore, the chalet has a washer, dryer and ski storage room with heated ski boot dryers.
