Quiet winter-sport village with many facilties
Mittelberg is a small village surrounded by mountains with peaks as high as 2600 metres! In the centre of the village you'll also find the oldest church spire of the whole valley. In the area surrounding Mittelberg you can take beautiful walks, you can go mountain biking, hiking and parasailing. Mittelberg also has its own little ski area, which consists of ca. 14 km of slopes. These are mostly suited for beginning and slightly advanced skiers. The more advanced skiers can go to the surrounding resorts Hirschegg and Riezlern, which are connected to each other with a free ski lift.
For cross-country skiers ther are trails with a total length of ca. 48 km. The area is also well suited for ice skating and tobogganing.
You can only reach Mittelberg by using a car and traveling via Germany, just like the other villages of the Kleinwalsertal.
