The village of Les Menuires has completely been renovated for the winter games of 1992. Together with the Saint Martin de Belleville it forms a ski area with 160 km of slopes and offers over 50 lifts. Most lifts go to the Mont de la Chambre and the 3 Marches, from where you can discover the rest of the Trois Vallées. Méribel and Val Thorens are quickly reached from Les Menuires. On the snow-certain north-west slope of the Point de la Masse (2804 meters) there are some very nice and steep slopes for advanced skiers. For snowboarders there is a fun park with half pipes reaching 110 and 400 meters with quarters, tables and moguls.
Les Menuires is known for its relatively low prices. The village in the evening has plenty to do as well as there are a number of bars and nightclubs for après-ski, and there are plenty of restaurants to be found in the village as well. Other facilities in Les Menuires include different type of shops, supermarkets, ski schools, daycare, an indoor swimming pool and a number of wellness and sports facilities.
For cross country skiers there is a 10 km long trail, partly through the forest and partly through open fields to the villages St. Martin de Belleville and Le Chatelard. Above the village there are some practice trails. For hikers Les Menuires offers you approximately 160 km of hiking trails. From Les Menuires you can walk parallel to the Doron creek to some old villages, and snow shoe walks are also organized.
For children there is a separate children's park in in Les Menuires, and there are three small slopes just for sledding. At the mountain station of the Roc des 3 Marches a 3,5 km long toboggan run is situated, named the Roc'n Bob. In the surroundings of Les Menuires you can also take trips by dogsled or snowmobile.
