Child-friendly winter-sport in a well-organised ski area

Gältur is a child-friendly destination and is situated at the end of the Paznauntal. The village is part of the ski region of the Silvretta Arena. Galtür has its own well-arranged ski area (43 km of slopes) with an amazing view over the mountains. The area is very snow certain and offers great possibilities for cross-country skiers and beginning skiers. Families with children will also find what they need here as there is a ski school with a large proportion of English-speaking staff – with a kindergarten for children from the age of 3 and a practice run. For snowboarders there is a fun park and in the area are also a number of hiking paths available for those who love to hike.

The village of Gältur has consciously opted against mass tourism to retain its original character and to create a true natural and family friendly destination. In the centre of the village you can find a number of restaurants where you can enjoy an authentic and cosy dinner.

At a distance of 9 km the popular ski resort Ischgl is situated – this lively village is known for its vibrant après-ski.
