Maria Alm is a picturesque ski village at the foot of the Hochkönig Mountain and near the huge Steinernen Meer massif. The village is situated on an altitude of 802 metres so it has a spectacular view over the surroundings. Maria Alm is situated in a small, no through road valley which is ideal for people that would like to have some rest, and is beloved by families. The versatile ski area of Hochkönigs Winterreich has about 150 km of slopes and 30 km of cross country trails.
Maria Alm is also a very fun village if you don't want to go skiing every day! As well in Maria Alm as in it's surroundings there are lots of sights and fun activities. The bell-tower in Maria Alm is about 76 meters high, because of this it's the highest tower in Salzburgerland, also thé point of recognition of the village. Apart from this there are several walking tours through the snow.
In the centre of the village there is a swimming pool with sauna and fitnessroom. Maria Alm has several restaurants, bars, cafés and nightclubs. The lift pass can be used in the Schladming-Dachstein Tauernregion and the Salzburger Sportwelt Amadé (e.g. Wagrain).
