Maria Alm is a picturesque ski village at the foot of the Hochkönig Mountain and near the huge Steinernen Meer massif. The village is situated on an altitude of 802 metres so it has a spectacular view over the surroundings. Maria Alm is very popular as a family destination, the versatile Ski Amadé-Hockkönig ski area has 119 km of continuous ski slopes and 40 km of cross-country trails.
Maria Alm is also a very fun village if you don't want to go skiing every day. There is a toboggan run and there are various hiking trails. In the centre of the village there is a swimming pool with sauna and fitnessroom. Maria Alm has several restaurants, bars and shops.
