Leogang

Leogang is located in the valley at the foot of the Leoganger Steinberge. The village is the quietest one of the well known Skicircus Saalbach / Hinterglemm / Leogang / Fieberbrunn. The village is perfectly located for those who want to take advantage of the connection to the Glemmtal with the villages Saalbach and Hinterglemm and their facilities, and also for those who want to stay in a quiet environment. The ski pass also is for the ski areas of Zell am See and Kaprun. Although the ski areas are not completely connected with each other, it is possible to take the new Zell am See Xpress cabin lift to the Schmittenhöhe from Viehhofen (ca. 20 minutes drive, or via slope nr. 168 to Viehhofen). In total you will have access to 408 km of various slopes!

The ski resort of Leogang with the Asitz slopes is the area with the most snow of the region. The valley station of the cabin lift Asitzbahn is located about 1 km west of the village. This cabin lift gives you the connection to the ski resorts of Saalbach and Hinterglemm. Advanced skiers will find the two short, but tough runs on the road to Saalbach very attractive. Beginners can start at Leogang and follow the blue runs into Saalbach. Leogangs kids park is found near the Asitzbahnen. At this practice area children can learn to ski in a playful way.

In Leogang and Saalfelden there are various cross-country trails. Hikers can enjoy the several trails for (organized) hikes . In addition, you will find a toboggan run in Leogang, which is open daily, including Tuesday and Friday night.

Leogang itself has sufficient facilities. There are various restaurants and bars, a number of supermarkets, shops and ski schools.
