Quiet village situated between two well known skiing areas
The small village of Maishofen is situated between two well-known ski areas: Skicircus Saalbach/Hinterglemm/Leogang and Zell am See/Kaprun. The ski bus departs to both areas and within 10 minutes you will reach the Schönleitenbahn in Vorderglemm. This lift leads directly to the Skicircus. If you prefer to ski in Zell am See you can drive to the CityXpress within 10 minutes, leading to the ski area of Zell am See. Because of a new lift you can also reach the Schmittenhöhe from Viehhofen (ca. 5 minutes drive). There is one ski pass for the ski areas of Zell am See/Kaprun and Saalbach/Hinterglemm/Leogang/Fieberbrunn, for a total of 408 km slopes!
In Maishofen are a few shops and restaurants. An ideal destination when you would like to be around good ski areas, but also wants to spend the night in a quiet village.
