Pfunds

Pfunds is a popular ski resort because of its good location and its unspoilt nature in the near environment. The village is ideally located between different ski areas. These ski area are Samnaun - Ischgl , Serfaus - Fiss -Ladis Fendels, Skiparadies Reschenpass and Kaunertal. The border triangle Austria - Switzerland - Italy is also not far away from Pfunds.

The skiarea Bergkastel Nauders (part of Skiparadies Reschenpass) is the closest ski area to Pfunds. It is a large ski area south of Pfunds and it offers opportunities for every kind of skier. The ski area is characterized by long and quiet runs.

Another larger ski area is Ischgl - Samnaun. It is located west of Pfunds and is one of the main ski resorts of the Eastern Alps. Samnaun - Ischgl has a long snow period, because of the high altitude of this area. It has 239 km of slopes and has something to offer for every type of skier. Red slopes are in the majority, so the area has a slight preference for the advanced skier. A free ski bus goes from Pfunds to several ski areas in the region, so you can leave the car and discover several ski areas in a quick and easy way.

Pfunds is located at an altitude of 972 meters and offers sufficient facilities for after skiing. There are plenty of bars for après-ski and the village also has three supermarkets and several restaurants. This region offers great opportunities for hikers. Furthermore there are about 35 miles of hiking trails located nearby.
