This charming castle is a gem in the snowy world of Zell am See. A unique, completely renovated location with spacious apartments that are decorated differently and all bear the name of a gemstone and are also decorated in the corresponding color. In the castle you will also find a common room, the Schlossbar, ski storage, sauna and space to relax. The large castle garden and the ski elevator nearby complete your unforgettable winter vacation.

Located on the outskirts of Zell am See and Bruck an der Großglockner, Schloss am See Fischhorn has a quiet location but amenities are not far away. From this medieval castle with a rich history, you can reach the slopes and the renovated AreitXpress ski elevator which are 3 km away within a few minutes' drive. At this cabin elevator you will also find the ski school with a practice area and ski rental. The ski bus stops 300 meters from the beginning of the driveway.

The castle is rented including extensive catering service. So you don't have to worry about anything anymore, you can just fully enjoy everything the area has to offer you!

Catering is served in the restaurant and includes:
7x Breakfast buffet; including coffee, tea, fruit juice, baguette, (chocolate) croissants, cheese, various cold cuts and sweet toppings.
6x afternoon snack.
6x Dinner; extensive 3-course dinner, including two drinks.

It is possible that one of the dinners may take the form of a winter barbecue.

After a strenuous day on the slopes it is wonderful to come home to Schloss am See Fischhorn, the vaulted ceilings and high ceilings are entirely in keeping with the level of luxury. You'll also enjoy the sauna, shower and relaxation room (open daily from 2 p.m. - 8 p.m.). There is a general area where you can sit together. In good weather, you can enjoy a nice winter sun on the courtyard terrace. The children can play nicely in the large castle garden that also offers plenty of space for building snowmen, sledding and throwing snowballs!

The center of Bruck an der Großglocknerstraße is 1 km away and offers various facilities such as various stores, restaurants and bars. The nearest supermarket can be found just 700 meters away. Here you can easily do your daily shopping. Even more entertainment can be found in lively Zell am See with its cozy après-ski which is about 5 km away. In this nice town on the lake you will find a variety of stores, bakeries where you can drink delicious coffee, cozy restaurants and many other stores.

If you choose not to ski for an afternoon or day, the famous Tauern Spa in Kaprun is an absolute must! In this wonderful wellness center you will feast your eyes and enjoy the saunas, steam baths and no fewer than 11 pools.

At Castle Schloss am See Fischhorn there is ample parking and the castle also has an elevator (accessible via a number of steps at the entrance). You can easily store your ski or snowboard equipment in the ski storage room with ski boot dryer.

Layout

This type consists of all 6 apartments for rent in Schloss am See. Spend the night together in this magnificent castle and you will feel like royalty!

If you reserve the entire Schloss am See, in addition to the 6 apartments, you can also use two common rooms. Here you can eat together with the whole group and chat about the experiences of the day.

The Schlossbar is also available (opening hours by arrangement, drinks to be paid for). In this bar you can have a drink and enjoy après-ski with the group. Our local partner can also arrange a DJ, disco and/or live music for you (on request and to be booked well in advance).

Outside the Schlossbar opening hours agreed with you, the two general (dining) rooms are only accessible from outside (approx. 30 meters).

The apartments:

4-person apartment Jade:
This apartment is decorated with the beautiful light green hue of the ornamental stone Jade and is located on the first floor, in the west wing of the castle. The gracious apartment features high, vaulted ceilings and has a spacious living room with cozy sitting area, flat-screen television and a dining area. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a 4-burner electric stove, oven, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker and kettle. Furthermore, there is Wi-Fi. The bedroom has a generous double bed of 2 x 1.40 meters wide and an en-suite bathroom with shower and toilet. For the third and fourth person there is a 2-person sofa bed in the living room.

4-Person Apartment Emerald:
This apartment is located on the second floor, in the west wing of the castle. The warm dark green color of the rare and coveted gemstone Emerald is central to the interior of this apartment. The stylish apartment features a high ceiling with wooden beams. The kitchen is fully equipped including a 4-burner electric stove, oven, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker and kettle. There is an attractive separate dining room with dining area. Furthermore, there is Wi-Fi. The first bedroom has a double bed and an en-suite bathroom with shower and toilet. The second bedroom is a spacious suite (approx. 30 m²) and has a double bed as well as a comfortable sitting area with flat-screen TV. These guests can use the second bathroom, equipped with bath and toilet.

6-person apartment Amethyst:
Decorated with the powerful purple tones of the crystal stone amethyst, this apartment is located on the third floor, in the west wing of the castle.
The stylish apartment features a high ceiling with wooden beams and has a spacious living room with a comfortable sitting area and flat-screen television. There is an attractive separate dining area. The kitchen is fully equipped including a 4-burner electric stove, oven, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker and kettle. Furthermore, there is Wi-Fi.
The first bedroom has a double bed and an en-suite bathroom with bath and toilet. Behind a thick, sound- and light-proof curtain in the living room is the second (open) bedroom with two double beds. These persons can use the second bathroom with bath and toilet.

Apartment Rubin sleeps 8:
This apartment, with entrance on the second floor, is divided between the south wing and one of the towers of the castle. The apartment is also called "Roter Salon" thanks to its furnishings based on the intense red color of the gemstone ruby.
The gracious apartment features a high ceiling with wooden beams and has a spacious living room with a comfortable seating area, flat-screen television and dining area. The kitchen is fully equipped including a 4-burner electric stove, oven, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker and kettle. Furthermore, there is Wi-Fi.
Behind the long closet wall in the living room is the first (open) bedroom with a double bed and en-suite bathroom with bath and toilet. A few steps lead to the antechamber of one of the castle's towers where there is a walk-through bedroom with two single beds. Behind it is the third bedroom (tower room) with a double bed and an en-suite bathroom with bath and toilet. For the seventh and eighth persons there is a double sofa bed in the living room.

8-person apartment Saphir:
Based on the precious gemstone sapphire, this apartment is decorated with generous dark blue tones. Located on the third floor, in the south wing of the castle, the apartment offers a magnificent view toward Zell am See and the slopes beyond.
The gracious apartment features a high ceiling with wooden beams and has a spacious living room with a comfortable seating area, flat-screen TV and dining area. The kitchen is fully equipped including a 4-burner electric stove, oven, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker and kettle. Furthermore, there is Wi-Fi.
Both bedrooms can accommodate up to four people: the rooms have a double bed and a single bed with a trundle bed. In addition, there is a 2-person sofa bed in the living room. There are two bathrooms available in this apartment, both equipped with bathtub and toilet. Although the apartment has 10 beds, a maximum of 8 people are allowed to stay in this apartment.

10-person apartment Opal:
This apartment is located on the second floor, in the east wing of the castle. The color concept in furnishing this apartment did not lose sight of the gold/black shimmering amber.
The gracious apartment features a high ceiling with wooden beams and columns and has a spacious living room with a comfortable sitting area, flat-screen television and dining area. The kitchen is fully equipped including a 4-burner electric stove, oven, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker and kettle. There is also Wi-Fi and a spacious terrace with stunning panoramic views.
The first bedroom (formerly the hunting room) has a double bed and offers stunning views. The second very spacious bedroom has two double box springs. The third bedroom is even more spacious and also has two double box springs. It is also possible to set up the box springs on their own. Bedroom two and three have an authentic decorative stove. Two bathrooms, one with shower and one with shower bath and toilet. Second separate toilet.
