Because the Tuxertal and Zillertal are connected to each other, the "Ski Zillertal 3000" was created. The "Ski Zillertal 3000" consists of three sub-areas, of which the continuous ski area with 128 km of slopes at Mayrhofen, Finkenberg and Hippach is the largest. The Eggalmbach in Tux-Lanersbach brings you to this versatile ski area. It is also possible to take the Rastkogelbahn in Vorderlanersbach. The Hintertux Glacier with 60 km of slopes is only 7 km away and offers snow-sure descents also at the beginning and end of the winterseason. The Tuxer-Sportbus takes you from Tux-Lanersbach in around 10 minutes to the Gletscherbahn in Hintertux.
Tux-Lanersbach in a charming ski village and there are a few bars where you can enjoy a drink after skiing. You will also find here a number of (sports) shops, restaurants and a supermarket.
Cross-country skiers can also enjoy themselves here. There is a 14 km long cross-country ski trail that runs from Vorderlanersbach to Madseit.
