Les Carroz is a true family village and offers its own ski area of about 55 km of slopes. The ski village is situated at an altitude of 1200 metres, near the well-known village Flaine in the ski region of Le Grand Massif. Above Les Carrroz one will find many wooded blue slopes which makes this area well-suited for beginners. The more experienced skiers can enjoy beautiful day tours to e.g. Flaine, Morillon and Samoens, but there are also several challenging red slopes situated above Les Carroz.
Les Carroz has a snow park, which is situated at La Combe de Vernant and on Wednesdays it is possible to enjoy night skiing on the led slopes 'Le Timalets'. Les Carroz is also a great location for hot air balloon rides. On an annual basis Les Carroz is the host for the 'Semaine de Montgolfieres', with a great variety of colorful hot air balloons. The village also has a paragliding school.
