Avoriaz is the most snow-certain village in the heart of the Portes du Soleil. The village is car-free and upon arrival your baggage will be brought to your accommodation with a sleigh or snowmobile (for a fee of about € 15,00 per family, depending on the luggage). The ski lifts and several slopes run directly through the middle of the village, giving you easy access to the ski area. Although Avoriaz is a ski station, the village has a beautiful and cozy appearance due to its beautiful architecture.

A must, if there is enough snow, are the long slopes to Les Prodains. From there you can reconnect to Avoriaz and Super Morzine. The well-known 'Swiss Wall' Chavanette is recommended for advanced skiers, as it consists of steep slopes with very high moguls.
For snowboarders, there are four funparks in Avoriaz, and one super pipe. Beginning skiers can visit La Chapelle and advanced skiers can do their thing in the Arare park. For children there is the Trashers park. The last park, the Stash, is well-worth a visit as its completely constructed with natural elements.
Avoriaz offers 30 km of cross-country trails and 250 km of routes await you throughout Les Portes du Soleil. The slopes are mainly in the Proclou sector, between the pine forests and the plateaus with beautiful views of the area. Furthermore, Avoriaz has around 30 restaurants, several bars and a nightclub. Other facilities in Avoriaz are the sub-tropical swimming pool (Aquariaz), sauna, movie theater and you can arrange snowmobile trips.
At Avoriaz you have to park your car for a fee at one of the public parkings (about € 70,00 per car per week) or in one of the public garages (about € 93,00 per car per week) in the village.
