Stars are awarded based on the following criteria: interior, appearance, square footage, location, state of repair, etc. The number of stars awarded ranges from 1 to 5.

General description
Chalet Belle Vache is located in the district of Petit Châtel, about 300 meters from the Barbossine/Petit Châtel ski elevator. With this chairlift you make it into the Super Châtel ski area and you can ski further towards the Swiss villages of Torgon and Morgins. The Super Châtel ski elevator is about 1.8 km away and the Linga chairlift (connection towards Avoriaz) about 4 km from the chalet. The ski bus departs about 50 meters from the chalet.
After a strenuous day on the slopes of the immense Portes du Soleil ski area, you can rest your muscles. Enjoy the beautiful surroundings from your own whirlpool on the terrace or relax in the private sauna of Chalet Belle Vache. Furthermore, the chalet has four spacious bedrooms and two sitting areas.
In the center of Châtel (about 1.6 km) you will find all necessary facilities including, several stores, cozy bars and restaurants and the ski school. This chalet can also be rented together with the adjacent chalet Les Clarines, together suitable for groups up to 18 people.
On the first floor you will find the cosy living room with sitting area, wood stove, television and dining table. Large, open kitchen with stove, oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and toaster. Spacious balcony with whirlpool and views of the surrounding mountain landscape.
On the ground floor an extra sitting area with television, Apple tv and game console (Xbox). On this floor one bedroom with a double bed or two single beds. Bathroom with shower and toilet.
Three bedrooms on the second floor. One bedroom with a double bed and en-suite bathroom with bath and toilet. This bedroom has access to the balcony. Two bedrooms with two single beds (on request the two single beds can also be made up as a double bed). Bathroom with bath and toilet.
Furthermore there is a ski storage room and the private sauna on the ground floor.
On request it is allowed to bring a maximum of one baby (= child from 0 to 2 years old, on day of arrival) above the stated maximum occupancy on your trip (free of charge). Please note: The additional baby must be specified when booking!
The prices mentioned in the price table are per person and include a lift pass for every participant. Is there anyone who does not need a lift pass or is there a senior/child in the group? Please take a look at the possible discounts. You can also find lift pass extensions (if possible) here.
Is there no amount mentioned? Please select the preferred arrival date first! The Châtel ski pass is valid for the whole ski area of Châtel. This consists of the ski lifts of Châtel, Torgon, La Chapelle d'Abondance and the "Le Corbeau area" at Morgins.

- Category Excellent (Excellence): the advanced and demanding skier; the newest models of skis and shoes; optional to change material(type) during the week (choice from available material).

The equipment is devided into several categories, depending on age and experience of the child.
- Category Mini Kid: Youngest skiers up to 5 years old; standard models; well maintained and professionally adjusted.
- Category Promise (Espoir): Novice skiers of 6 - 11 years old; standard models; well maintained and professionally adjusted.
- Category Champion (Champion): Well experienced skiers of 6 - 13 years old; newer models skis and shoes; choice from more models of carve skis.
The advantages:
- You will rent equipment for 7 days but will only pay for 6 days.

- Category Gold (Sensation): Much demanding and experienced snowboarders; the newest topmodels snowboards and boots; possibility to switch from equipment during the week (choice from available equipment).
