High-class ski village with several facilities
Méribel is situated in the heart of the skiing-area Les Trois Vallées and is an ideal base for nice tours through the whole area. The apartments and hotels are built in attractive chalet styles and with around 80 restaurants and a few cosy pubs the center has a lively appearance.
Méribel offers, besides halfpipes, mostly off-slope possibilities. Freeriders are recommended to visit the Mont Vallon.
The best and longest cross-country skiing tracks are in the woods near Méribel/Ailtiport, at an altitude of 1700 metres. These interconnect to the tracks of La Tania and Courchevel. Méribel/Mottaret has a few blue tracks, near the Lac de Tuéda.
In Méribel one can also find an ice-rank, an indoor swimming pool, diverse sport- and wellness facilities and it is possible to explore the surrounding areas by snow scooter or dogsledding.
