Grimenz is the largest village within the valley of Val d'Anniviers. Grimenz is described as one of the most beautiful places in Wallis, as has remained its authenticity over the years. The town can be identified by the wooden (crooked) houses and the 15th-century-farms with sun-blackened granaries. The old city centre of the village a pedestrian area.
Grimentz has its own ski area (45 km of slopes), situated below the mountain tops of Becs-de-Bosson (3149 metres high) and Roc d'Orzival (2853 metres).
