The ski resort Maurach-Eben is located in the ski area Achensee in the Tyrol region. Maurach is a rural village, located on the shore of the Achensee, at the foot of densely wooded slopes. This is also a beautiful area for hiking. Maurach is situated at an altitude of approximately 950 meters and the Rofan gondola takes you up to almost 1900 meters to a small, but cosy ski area.
In the village you will find the practice slope, the beginners lift, the gathering point for the ski school, the public swimming pool, a sauna and a fitness centre. Furthermore, there are several (sport) shops and restaurants.
For the ones who love mountain lakes and ski touring, must head to Maurach, because this place has the most cross-country miles from all the villages around the Achensee.
