The village Wagrain is centrally located in the ski region Sportwelt Amadé. On both sides of the village there is a ski lift departing into the ski area – one goes to Grafenberg which will lead to Alpendorf and the other lift departs to Grießenkareck and leads into the direction of Flachau. There is a new ski lift connecting these two mountains since the winter of 2014-2015.
Wagrain is a nice and cosy village with lively après-ski facilities. There are ca. 40 restaurants, 8 bars and 3 disco’s. The village has a lovely indoor swimming paradise with a sauna, a solarium and for the children water slides and water cannons.
The area of Wagrain offers nice and well-groomed pistes that are suitable for both beginners as advanced skiers. The experienced skiers and snowboarders can challenge themselves on the black ‘Mulde’ run.
For cross-country skiers and hikers there are plenty of possibilities in the area. The Tauernloipe with a length of 50 km leads by the village of Wagrain and other areas. Hikers can hike via Kleinarl to the lake the ‘Jägersee’.
