Traditional Westendorf is a vibrant village with a convenient location opposed to the two ski regions of SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser – Brixental (297 km of pistes) and Kitzbuheler Alpen (170 km of pistes). Both at a distance of ca. 10 km.
There are a number of practice runs available in and around Westendorf for beginners and the experienced skiers can enjoy the downhill runs to Vorderwindau or Oberwindau or reach out to Hopfgarten or Brixen im Thale bu free ski bus. In Westendorf is one challenging mogul piste available that is suitable for the advance skier. In the Boarders Playground there are plenty of facilities for snowboarders available.
In the winter season this village is well-visited by tourists that enjoy both skiing and après-skiing. There are some vibrant pistes at the centre that offer lively après-ski possibilities! Moreover there are a number of restaurants and bars, some supermarkets and shops, an ice rink, an indoor pool and several ski schools.
Through the village leads the 15 km long cross-country trail the ‘Brixentalerloipe’, and throughout the winter season there is a network of 220 km of cross-country trails available in the region. Hikers can enjoy themselves as well here with the broad offer in hiking paths. There is a toboggan run available of 7.5 km as well.
