The ski region exists out of the six villages Ehrwald, Biberwier, Lermoos, Berwang, Bichlbach and Heiterhang. The areas are only a few kilometres away from each other and they all have their own lifts and ski area. Because the ski areas are not connected to each other the villages have remained their own unique character. There are a total of 58 ski lifts, varying between chair lifts, cable-cars and drag lifts. The area counts over 142 km of pistes (of which 106 km artificially kept white), interesting for skiers of each degree. There is a special area devoted for the snowboarders and free-style skiers with fun parks.
The Zugspits Arena is very suitable for cross-country skiers, with ca. 130 km of trails and within the surrounding areas there is another 100 km of trails situated. The trails do not have a clear begin or end, offering the option to start wherever you want.
At the Zugspits glacier, also named ‘Zugspitsplatt’, there is a high snow-certainty – with a snow guarantee that lasts longer then the winter season.
