The small village of Walchen is situated in the municipality of Piesendorf-Niedernsill. Walchen is about 10 minutes away by car from the ski region Zell am See / Kaprun. In the villages of Zell am See and Kaprun you can find several shops, restaurants and nightlife.
Walchen has its own small ski area, the Erlebnisberg Nagelköpf, with a ski lift, a tobogganing run, tubes and a ski school. In the high season you can enjoy night skiing twice per week.
