Chalet Demlhof is located in Finkenberg, a friendly, atmospheric winter sports village. You are within walking distance of the cabin lift (ca. 500 meter), but if you don't feel like walking you can also take the free ski bus. This stops at about 150 meters from the chalet. This ski bus also drives to Mayrhofen.
You can use the "Finkenberger" cabin lift up to a height of over 2000 meters. From the "Penkenjoch" you can then on one of the many red or black runs to your descent begin. For beginners there are also a number of blue slopes in the area, but it is mainly the red and black slopes that dominate.
On the "Penkenjoch" you will also find the appropriately named "Harakiri" slope: with a gradient of 78% it is the steepest slope in Austria! For comparison, this is steeper than the ski jump used in ski jumping. Even for the biggest daredevils this 150 meter long piece of piste will be a big challenge.
With good snow conditions you can go off-piste to the front door of your chalet (from the Ahorn), or you can ski off-piste to Mayrhofen.
After a long day on the slopes you can enjoy the après-ski in Finkenberg. You can start here early in the afternoon and continue until late at night. But if only Finkenberg is not enough for you, the vibrant center of Mayrhofen is only about four kilometers from chalet Demlhof, so you are here by car within ten minutes.
Chalet Demlhof is rented including extensive catering service! So you don't have to worry about anything anymore and can fully enjoy everything the area has to offer you.
The catering includes:
7x Breakfast buffet, including coffee, tea, fruit juice, baguettes, (chocolate) croissants, cheese, various meats and sweet spreads.
6x Dinner (between 18:00 and 19:30); extensive 3-course dinner, including soft drinks, juices, beer and a matching wine, and a cup of coffee or tea after the meal.
Throughout the day, drinks (except strong alcoholic beverages and in reasonable measure) are included.
In the middle of the week the chalet staff has a day off. On this day breakfast is self-service and you are expected to provide dinner at your own expense.
To provide an optimal service, the chalet staff themselves also stay in the chalet. They have their own sleeping- and bathroom, these are not described in the text.
This chalet is spread over four floors.
Authentic and spacious living and dining room with sitting and dining area. Kitchen with a stove, oven, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, kettle and dishwasher, among other things. Furthermore, the chalet has a Wi-Fi internet connection and a large garden.
Twelve bedrooms in total. Nine bedrooms each with a double bed or two single beds. One bedroom with a double bed or two single beds and a single bed or sofa bed. Two quadruple bedrooms, each with a double bed and two single beds. Twelve en-suite bathrooms with shower and toilet. Two separate toilets. All bedrooms have access to a balcony.
A folding bed can be placed on one of the double bedrooms.
