Hippach (near Mayrhofen)

Hippach is a romantic village and is surrounded by beautiful landscapes. The village is situated at the sunniest part of the Zillertal and offers affordable accommodations. Together with Schwendau (at 600 metres) the villages form the ideal destination to explore the ski area of the Ski Zillertal 3000.

A comfortable 8-person cable-car (Horbergerbahn) departs from the border of the village and from the top you can ski down to Mayrhofen, Finkenberg and Tux-Lanersbach. For the very experienced skier there is a ski route running down to Hippach. There is a ski bus shuttling to the Horbergerbahn and from there you can take another ski bus towards Mayrhofen.

In Hippach you can find a ski and a snowboard school. For cross-country skiers there are 2 trails in Hippach/Ramsau/Schwendau, with a total of 5,5 km. More cross-country trais can be found around other villages in the Zillertal. Moreover, it's possible to go ice skating, sledding and hiking.

There are various restaurants and bars situated in Hippach, however for true après-ski you need to visit Mayrhofen – this popular winter sport destination is known for is vibrant nightlife.
