Hochkrimml

The child friendly village of Hochkrimml is found at a distance of ca. 8 km from Krimml and is a part of the Zillertal Arena ski area. Hochkrimml is a small village with many chalets and is perfect for people that seek for a quiet place. The village consists out of three areas: Filzstein, Duxer Alm and Silberleiten. Filzstein and Duxer Alm are connected with each other and the village of Silberleiten can only be reached by car via the Gerlos pass.

From Hochkrimml there are drag and chair lifts at several points, that will take you to the Gerlosplatte. Here you will find mostly wide blue and red slopes, so it is also an ideal starting point for beginning and slightly advanced skier. There is also a short black slope, with a drag lift at the side. From the Gelosplatte you can quickly get on the slopes in Königsleiten with the Sonnwendkopf cable-car. From here you can also ski in the direction of Gerlos and Zell am Ziller.

In Hochkrimml in the Filzstein district you will find the Filzsteinalm restaurant, where you can enjoy good and affordable meals three times a week. In the Silberleiten district you also have a cozy restaurant on the Plattenalm ("Die Platten Alm") to have a good meal. Via a mobile bakery it is possible to pre-order bread that will be delivered up to the front door every day. For further groceries you can go to Königsleiten where you can find a supermarket.
