General description

The Penkenblick holiday apartment is situated in a quiet spot in the charming village of Mayrhofen. A 5-minute walk takes you to the ski bus, which will take you to the gondola lifts, allowing you to explore different parts of the ski area. The Penkenbahn or Horbergbahn will take you to the vast Ski Zillertal 3000 ski area, where you can enjoy plenty of variety and a real challenge. Experienced skiers can, for example, tackle the famous black run ‘Harakiri’, with a gradient of up to 78 per cent. The Ahornbahn takes you to a completely different side of Mayrhofen. This gondola takes you to the smaller Ahorn ski area, with around 14 kilometres of slopes. Beginners in particular will have a great time here on the easy-to-navigate runs. Both lifts are also great for non-skiers, as there are restaurants offering stunning views, and from the Penkenbahn there’s a lovely walking route down. Your ski pass is valid for the entire Zillertal Arena, with over 500 km of slopes, so you can also ski or snowboard in one of the other ski areas in the Zillertal. This means you can enjoy plenty of variety during your winter sports holiday! Insider’s tip: early December is a prime time for skiing in the Zillertal – it’s quiet and, in recent years, has already been properly wintry!

Mayrhofen has a typical Austrian charm and is known for its lively après-ski scene. This cosy village is a 15-minute walk away and has a main street lined with countless shops and restaurant terraces. It really invites you to take a leisurely stroll and enjoy a coffee or a drink. So there’s plenty to do in this village for non-skiers too. You can also enjoy a lovely walk along the Ziller river on the ‘Promenade’, and there’s an indoor swimming pool with a large spa area right in the centre of the village, the ‘Erlebnisbad Mayrhofen’. If you’re looking for a fun and thrilling activity, you can go tobogganing – both during the day and in the evening – on the Gerlosstein toboggan run in Hainzenberg.

The Penkenblick holiday apartment offers unobstructed views of the Penken, particularly from the covered terrace outside the living room. There is an infrared cabin in one of the bathrooms. There are three parking spaces, one of which is covered.

Layout

A large, spacious and light-filled dining room with a large table and a fully equipped kitchen. Adjoining this is the living room with a cosy seating area, a television and doors leading onto the covered terrace in the garden.

Three bedrooms, each with a double bed. Two bathrooms, one with a bath, both with a shower and toilet. The flat has an infrared sauna.
