Cosy winter sport village, situated in the heart of the Zillertal

Zell am Ziller is situated in the heart of the Zillertal and is one of the four villages that form the Zillertal Arena. The vibrant centre has various bars, restaurants and shops. This destination is very suitable for families with children.

In the bars and pubs there are plenty of après-ski possibilities, offering true Tyrolean entertainment and Austrian dainties. The centre has a nice square surrounded by bars and nice little shops.

At the outskirts of the village there are 8-person cable-cars that lead into the ski area of the Zillertal Arena and from here you can ski to Gerlos and Königsleiten. The area offers endless possibilities and is therefore perfect for day tours. The smaller area of Gerlosstein offers 15 km of pistes en is suitable for skiers of each degree.

Cross-country skiers can enjoy 6 trails around Zell am Ziller, with a total of 16 km. Hikers can follow the track by the river or choose for one of the other three hiking trails around Zell am Ziller.
