Aussois is the largest village within the ski region Aussois. It is a friendly and authentic mountain village, without exuberant après-ski. Aussois is located at an altitude of 1500 meters on a plateau. The village is known for its southern location, which makes it often sunny.
The liftsdepart from the centre of Aussois and take you a long way up. Here you'll find some nice runs and a handful of restaurants directly on the piste. You can return to the village via some simple blue or green slopes, or via somewhat challenging red slopes. Besides skiing, there are many other winter activities in and around the village, like ice climbing and dog sledding.
In the village you will find a number of shops, a bakery, ski shops, childcare and two ski schools for children. Also an indoor pool and some spa facilities are situated here.
