Atmospheric winter sport village with plenty to do for everyone
Valmorel 'La Belle' is a traditional mountain village. At the outskirts of the town the ski lifts and the slopes are situated, offering an easy and quick access to the ski area. Valmorel has managed to maintain its authentic atmosphere. The cozy main street with its restaurants and terraces is car-free. The village is labeled "family plus" and is easily accessible since it is the first ski village in the Tarentaise valley.
The ski area of Valmorel is found at the Eastern side of the ski area Le Grand Domaine. The slopes arrive in the village from three different angles and the most easy and popular ski runs are found around the Beaudin (1900 metres). At the other side of the village the more challenging pistes are situated, especially the black mogul run is worth a try!
There is a snow park for free style skiers and snowboarder with a half pipe and there are more obstacles spread over the ski area.
Cross-country skiers and hikers can take a bus to the slope of Nâves, where there are 40 kilometers of trails and 15 kilometers of snowshoe walks.
