Samoëns

Samoëns is probably one of the most beautiful ski areas of France and has the unique brand 'Monument Historique'. Samoëns is a picturesque, old and monumental village offering a broad variety of activities in a beautiful surroundings. The gondola lift, which takes you to the ski area in less than 10 minutes, is located about 1,5 kilometers from the center. There are several ski buses from the center to the lift.

The area of Samoëns (and Les Carroz) are very suitable for beginners, as they offer gentle blue and red slopes. In Samoens 1600 you will find an extensive beginners area, with also special facilities for children. The experienced skiers finds also some challenging mogul slopes on the Aigle Noir.

For snowboarders the area of Flaine is recommended, offering a half pipe and a boarder cross. Between Samoëns and Sixt there is also a great offer of cross-country trails and for hikers there is around 10 km of hiking paths available and 60 km for snowshoeing.
