La Chapelle d'Abondance has its own ski area with approx. 75 km of slopes and is also part of the Les Portes du Soleil ski area. This large ski area has more than 650 km of ski slopes. From the village it is possible to take the Télécabine de La Panthiaz or to take the bus to Châtel to discover the ski area Les Portes du Soleil.

Only in the section of La Chapella d'Abondance are already two Boarder-Cross and there is a Fun Park for snowboarders. In the area are much more possibilities for snowboarders. For beginners or people who would like to improve their technique, there is a skischool located (ESF). Furthermore, there are several options for cross-country skiers and hikers.
