Les Gets

Les Gets is an old but charming village, with an authentic atmosphere. This village is located about 8 km away from Morzine and is connected to the extensive ski region of Les Portes du Soleil. From Les Gets there are two ski areas accessible: at one side of the village the Mont Chéry starts, offering mainly black and red slopes, and at the other side of the village the big ski area of Chavannes/Ranfoily can be found, offering a bigger range of various slopes. From Ranfoilly you also have access to the overall ski region of Les Portes du Soleil.

The surrounding area of Les Gets is especially suited for beginners and families with children. For the more experienced skiers there are many possibilities to make day tours through France and Switzerland in the area of Portes du Soleil. Besides, there are a also a range of off-piste possibilities. Other activities available in Les Gets and its surrounding areas are cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, paragliding, dogsledding, sledding and ice skating.

Les Gets offers a great variety of facilities e.g. numerous restaurants and bars, various shops, several supermarkets, a ski school, ski rental and day care. On a regular basis there are events organized in this village, with a frequent focus on children. In Les Gets there is also a Mechanical Music museum located and an authentic cheese farm.
