Cosy and authentic catered chalet with private sauna in Les Gets

General description

Chalet Le Vieux is a beautiful and authentic chalet with an interesting history: the chalet was built ca. 450 metres from the place where it is found today in 1910, in the village Gstaad, Switzerland, and in the year 2001 the accommodation was moved to the village of Les Gets!

Chalet Le Vieux is situated at the beginning of Les Gets, in the near of the Month Chery cable-car (at 700 metres) and the linked pistes. Here you will mainly find red and black slopes, perfect for the first runs of the day; as the sun lusters on this side of the mountain during the mornings. At ca. 800 metres the Chavannes express cable-car is found, leading far into the ski area, offering various pistes – from wide blue slopes till accelerating steep black runs. Via the blue slope you can ski down to Morzine. Both cable-cars in Les Gets are accessible by free ski bus which departs nearby the chalet.

After a long day on the slopes you can warm-up around the fire place, go après skiing in your own private wooden bar or relax in the sauna. Between 17.00 hours and 19.00 hours you can use the sauna free of charge. Outside these hours an additional fee of € 15.00 per day is required. The chalet also offers a Wi-Fi internet connection.

Chalet Le Vieux is offered with an extensive catering service! You won't have to worry about a thing and can fully enjoy your holiday and everything the enormous area of Les Portes du Soleil has to offer.

The catering includes:
7x Extensive breakfast e.g. with coffee, tea, fruit juices, baguettes, (chocolate) croissants, cheese, several breakfast meats and sweet spreads (marmalade, honey).
6x Dinner (between 18.00 hours and 19.30 hours) a 3-course meal, including sodas, juices, beer and a fitting wine, and for after your meal a cup of coffee or tea.

Drinks are included throughout the day (exceptions: hard liquor and drinking in moderation).

In the middle of the week the chalet boy or girl has a day off. On this day the breakfast is available as self-service and in the evenings you are requested to dine in a restaurant at your own expense.

To offer you the best possible service, the chalet staff will reside in the chalet as well. They do have their own bedroom and bathroom. These rooms are left out of the description of the layout.

Layout

There is a cosy living room with a fireplace and a dining area. The kitchen is equipped with e.g. a stove, an oven, a microwave, a fridge and a dishwasher. There is a separate room with a wooden bar and there is a private sauna with shower. Chalet Le Vieux is surrounded by a big garden, and there are plenty of parking facilities around the chalet.

There are six bedrooms, of which two with a double bed, one bedroom with two single beds, two 3-person bedrooms with each a double bed and a single bed and one 4-person bedroom with a double bed and two single beds. Four en-suite bathrooms with each a bath or a shower and a toilet and one separate bathroom with a bath and a toilet. One separate toilet. Some bedrooms have access to the balcony.
