Cosy and authentic catered chalet with private sauna in Les Gets

General description

Chalet Le Vieux is a beautiful, authentic and romantic chalet. This chalet has an interesting history: it was built some 450 kilometers away in 1910, in the village of Gstaad in Switzerland. In 2001 it was moved to Les Gets, and since then this village has had another beautiful chalet!

Chalet Le Vieux is located at the beginning of the village, near the Mont Chéry cabin elevator (700 meters) and its slopes. You have mostly red and black slopes here, and this is perfect for the first few runs of the day; as the sun shines wonderfully on this mountain in the morning. Perhaps even more interesting is the "Chavannes Express" gondola elevator at a distance of about 800 meters. With this elevator you go right deeper into the ski area, and you can choose between quiet blue runs, or more challenging red and black runs. Through the blue slopes you can also easily ski into Morzine. These elevators are easily accessible with the free ski bus. The stop for this ski bus is near the chalet.

After a long day of skiing it is great to come back to the chalet. You can lounge around the fireplace, après-ski at your own wooden bar or relax in the sauna (to be used only between 17:00 and 19:00). The chalet also has free Wi-Fi internet access.

Chalet Le Vieux is only rented including extensive catering service. With this service you no longer have to worry about anything, just enjoy the vast ski area of Portes du Soleil!

Catering includes:
7x Breakfast Buffet; including coffee, tea, fruit juice, French bread, (chocolate) croissants, cheese, various cold cuts and sweet toppings.
6x Dinner (between 18:00 and 19:30); extensive 3-course dinner, including soft drinks, juices, beer and a suitable wine, and after the meal a cup of coffee or tea.

Throughout the day drinks (except strong alcoholic beverages and in reasonable moderation) are included.

In the middle of the week, the chalet boy or girl has a day off. On this day, breakfast is self-service and you are expected to provide dinner at your own expense.

In order to provide optimal service, the chalet staff themselves also stay in the chalet. They have their own bedroom and bathroom, these are not described further in the text.

Layout

The chalet can accommodate up to 12 adults and 2 children.

Cozy living room with fireplace and dining area. Kitchen with a gas stove, oven, microwave, refrigerator and dishwasher, among others. Separate room with a wooden bar. Reading room/serre. Private sauna with shower room. Chalet Le Vieux is surrounded by a large garden, there is also plenty of parking around the chalet.

Two bedrooms each with a double bed. One bedroom with two single beds. One triple bedroom with a double bed and a single bed. Two bedrooms, each with a double bed and a loft with a single mattress. The beds in the loft are mainly suitable for children (due to very limited headroom). Four en-suite bathrooms with bath or shower and toilet. One separate bathroom with bath and toilet. Separate toilet. Some bedrooms have access to the balcony.
