Wintersport Plagne Centre

There are eleven villages that form La Plagne. La Plagne Centre is one of the eleven villages and is the centre of the ski area and here you will mainly find big apartment buildings. From Plagne Centre there is a cable car departing to La Grance Rochette (2505 metres). From here a long blue piste is leading to Plagne Bellecote and Belle Plagne or you can decide to ski down over the sunny edges of Champagny. Snowboarders can find two snow parks in la Plagne and on a weekly basis a boarder cross is organized.

There is a total of 100 km of cross-country trails situated in the area of La Plagne, leading throughout the area. Access to the trails is free of charge. Moreover, in La Plagne you can also join the organized big-foot tours, for which you need to sign up at Ecole du Ski Francais, Evolution 2 and Espace Montagne.

In Plagne Centre you will find a bar named PlanJa. This bar is a vivid apres-ski bar and is owned by the Dutch couple Jacqueline and Arne van der Zande and attracts many Dutch people from the Plagne Centre but also from its surrounding areas. Other facilities that can be found in the village are restaurants, shops, a supermarket, ski school and ski rental. For children there is a play ground and a day care available.
