Champéry

The authentic village of Champery is located at the foot of the Dents-du-Midi, also known as one of Switzerland's most beautiful mountain ranges. In the village you will find a combination of historic charm and modern luxury. There are e.g. many traditional chalets with beautifully carved balconies and also the last operating bell foundry in Switzerland. Champéry offers all facilities needed for a great evening out, including several restaurants, bars and nightclubs. Also found in the village are e.g. two ski schools, several shops, supermarkets, (sport) shops and a sport centre with an indoor swimming pool, a spa and wellness. Champéry is practically traffic free, because the traffic is led around the village. However, there is plenty of parking facilities in and around the village.

From the village there is a modern gondola lift that leads to the Portes du Soleil ski area, where you have a choice of different slopes towards e.g. Les Crosets, Avoriaz and Grand Paradis. Snowboarders can enjoy in Les Crosets the 'Super Park' and the 'Micro Park' is ideal for beginners. Furthermore Champéry is seen as the best hiking location of the entire ski region. There is an extensive range of walking routes as well. For cross-country skiers you'll find a 7 km long trail and a 4 km trail (illuminated at night) in the village.
