Wintersport Morgins
The village of Morgins is part of the enormous French-Swiss ski area of Les Portes du Soleil that has 650 km of slopes. The village of Morgins is surrounded by stretched forests and offers an amazing view over the Dents-du-Midi mountains.
Morgins has ski lifts and slopes at both sides of the village. The Corbeau chair lift has a connection to the slopes of the French village Châtel and chair lift La Foilleuse will take you in the direction of Champoussin and Les Crosets. Via both sides you can ski towards Avoriaz, which is the centre of Les Portes du Soleil. Morgins has a toboggan run and night skiing at the lighted Foilleuse slope is possible at some days in the week.
The Morgins area also offers excellent hiking and cross-country skiing facilities. Recommended is the trail around the "Lac de Morgins", which is located outside the village and connects to the cross-country network of Châtel.
Morgins is a cozy and atmospheric village with an authentic look. In the village, all necessary facilities for a successful ski holiday are present. There are two small supermarkets, several restaurants and a number of après-ski bars, where you can end the day with a drink. Sports shops, ski schools, childcare and an ice skating rink can also be found in the village. For a larger supermarket and facilities such as an indoor swimming pool and wellness center you can visit Châtel (about 5 km from Morgins).
