Veysonnaz

On the most Eastern mountain ridge of the Quatre Valleés, Veyzonnaz is located. In summer and in winter this destination offers several activities. Veysonnaz offers very diverse slopes and is attractive for every type of skier and snowboarder. From the village you have an amazing panoramic view over the Rhône valley.

Two cable-cars depart from Veysonnaz and Mayens de l’Ours to the Mont Rouge. Experienced skiers can enjoy the slopes around Mont Fort (3330 meters) and snowboarders can enjoy the half pipe that can be found in Veysonnaz.

For the cross-country skiers there is one trail offered, situated directly above the timber line. Hikers can also use this trail to hike and there is also another hike path available from Mayens de l’Ours to Salins. The local tourism office organizes on a regular basis winter hikes and other activities.

Veysonnaz is an authentic village that has kept most of its original characteristics. In the village there are several atmospheric restaurants where you can enjoy the local specialties. Furthermore, in the village amenities are available like supermarkets, diverse shops, two ski schools and numerous children facilities. It is also possible to enjoy yourself in the wellness center of Veysonnaz, which includes a swimming pool and a sauna. Veysonnaz also has a great offer in cosy bars, nevertheless it is not recognized for its après-ski.
