The Les Quatre Vallées region is located in the Swiss region Wallis and has a dynamic offer of slopes for people of all abilities and levels. The ski area exists out of two parts: the Printze and Televerbier. The most important ski villages in Printze are Nendaz, Veysonnaz and Thyon. In Televerbier these are Verbier, Bruson and La Tzoumaz. These two areas form Les Quatre Vallees with 412 km of slopes. This makes the area the biggest compact ski area of Switzerland.
With an altitude of 3330 meter the Mont Fort is the highest mountain of the range. From the top one can enjoy an amazing view and the valley can be reached over a 15 km long mogul slope. This slope is one of the longest and most beautiful runs of the Alps. From the village Verbier the ski lifts depart to the Attelas and for the advance skiers the Mont Gelé can be reached if another lift is caught. The Mont Gelé is only allowed for experienced skiers as the slopes from here are extremely descending.
In addition one can also find challenging powder runs at the backside of the Greppon Blanc (nearby the villages Siviez, Veysonnaz and Nendaz). For the beginners there is a variety of more convenient runs available at the slopes situated lower around La Tzoumaz and Verbier. For snowboarders there are three fun parks offered in the region.
In the area Les Quatre Vallées one can find a variety of ten different cross-country trails that offer a total of 47 km. Near the village of Thyon there is a cross-country trail at an altitude of 2000 meter and around Champex-Lac one can enjoy a trail that is lit up during the evenings. For hikers there is also a great variety of paths offered and regularly the tourism board organizes enjoyable hiking tours. Other winter sport activities that can be found in Les Quatre Vallées are sledding, ice-skating and dog-sledging.
