Snow-certain ski area with various possibilities

The ski areas of Lungau are spread over the region, in the southern Alps between Salzburg and Kärnten. Lungau is very snow certain as it is situated at an altitude of 2411 metres and offers lots of sun hours throughout the year. View chalets and apartments in Lungau

Lungau covers a total of 200 km of slopes in the ski areas of Aineck-Katschberg (66 km), Großeck-Speiereck (47 km), Fanningberg (30 km) and skipark Nockberge (Karneralm-Schönfeld-Innerkrems) (60 km). These areas are connected via the ski bus. There are plenty of ski and snowboard schools available and there are minimal waiting lines at the ski lifts. Moreover, the area is guaranteed of snow during the season due to the artificial snow makers.

Cross-country skiers can enjoy 120 km of trails around Murtal-, Taurachtal- and the "Panorama trail. There is even a skating trail.

At the Aineck lift station, in the valley of. St. Margarethen, there is a beautiful fun park with a half pipe, a pro-jump and a slide. Moreover, there is a boarder cross situated on the Fanning mountain.

Children can enjoy the kids park Katschis Kinderwelt: a play ground with a mini-jet and speaking cartoons. Moreover, there is a ski school for children and a kids ski run.

In all the villages are hiking paths, hiking tours with snow-shoes and there is a toboggan run. Other activities in the area are paragliding, ice skating and a tour with a horse sleigh.
