Winter sport combined with culture and a great atmosphere

The Montafon ski region is situated south of Vorarlberg and is suitable for skiers and snowboarders of each degree. The region exists out of various ski areas, with a total of 200 km of slopes.

The most important ski area of the Montafon is the Silvretta Montafon ski area, which is can also be sub divided over two areas: Silvretta Montafon Nova and Silvretta Montafon Hochjoch.

Silvretta Montafon Nova is one of the largest ski areas in Vorarlberg. The area is stretched out over two parallel mountain ridges and features slopes of various levels. There are easy to intermediate pistes, but also a black mogul run and challenging ski routes. This area the ski village Gaschurn is located, where you will find lively apres ski.

Silvretta Montafon Hochjoch is a long-stretched area. In the ski village of Schrunsthe cable-cars, Hochjoch- and the Zamang, are situated leading to Kapell (1850 meters), the plateau where you will find challenging red and black ski runs. At the top and bottom of this ski area are only blue slopes situated, which makes this area very suitable for families with children.

The other ski areas of the Montafon are the smaller areas of Gargellen, Golm, Kristberg and Silvretta Bielerhöhe.

Besides skiing, there are also excellent cross-country and hiking possibilities. In Montafon are 90 km of trails situated and nearly 300 km of hiking trails. Moreover, there is a toboggan run and there are fun parks in the area.

A holiday in the Montafon ski area will not only evolve around skiing and snowboarding, but also around culture and hospitality.
