Neukirchen

Neukirchen is a nice and cosy village which is situated at an altitude of 850 metres. It's a lively village thanks to the e.g. many shops, restaurants, bars and a bakery where you can get great bread. These are all found in the markstraße (main street). You will also find a few ski schools in Neukirchen.

Via the village you can use a lift to get to the 'Wildkogel Ski Arena', a compact ski area with 75 km of slopes. Because this area consists of 85% of blue and red slopes, this is a ideal ski area for families with children and beginners. The more experienced skier or those that would like to see some more of the area can make use of the ski area KitzSki Kitzbühel / Kirchberg with 230 km slopes. The cabin lift gives you access to this ski area in Hollersbach, a 10 minute drive from Neukirchen.

The longest toboggan run of Europe, with a length of 14 km, is situated in the nearby village Bramberg am Wildkogel. This toboggan run is open during the day and also two evenings of the week. In Neukirchen you will also find a family toboggan run. Sledges can be rented in both Neukirchen and Bramberg.

Cross-country skiers can start at the Pinzga trail. However, because all the trails are situated in the valley, they are not snow-certain throughout the season. Hikers can enjoy the several beautiful hiking routes that pass through the area.
