Neukirchen is a nice and cosy village which is situated at an altitude of 850 metres. It's a lively village thanks to the e.g. many shops, restaurants, bars and a bakery where you can get great bread. These are all found in the markstraße (main street).
Via the village you can use a lift to get to the 'Wildkogel Ski Arena', a compact ski area with 55 km of slopes. This area is perfect for families with children and beginners. The more experienced skier or those that would like to see some more of the area can make use of the cable-car in Hollersbach, a 5 minute drive. This lift will take you to the Pass Thurn / Kitzbühel ski area with over 150 km of variable slopes!
Moreover, in Neukirchen are a number of ski schools situated and also the longest toboggan run of Europ is situated here, with a length of 14 km! This toboggan run is open during the day and also two evenings of the week!
Cross-country skiers can start at the Pinzga trail. However, because all the trails are situated in the valley, they are not snow-certain throughout the season. Hikers can enjoy the several beautiful hiking routes that pass through the area.
