Chalet Edelweiss am See is located in Thumersbach, on the south shore of Lake Zell and near Zell am See. The chalet consists of seven nicely furnished apartments, most of which have balconies with lake views. The AreitXpress cabin elevator in Zell am See/Schüttdorf, which takes you to the top of the Schmittenhöhe (2000 m), is 4.5 km away. This elevator can be reached by car or by free ski bus, which stops right outside the door. Furthermore, the snow-sure glacier ski area of Kaprun is less than 15 km away.
The center of the ski resort of Zell am See is about 6.5 km from Apartments Edelweiss am See. From Zell am See there are two more ski elevators to the top of the Schmittenhöhe. Zell am See also has an attractive center with many stores, restaurants, après-ski bars and you can also visit facilities such as an ice-skating rink and indoor swimming pool. The nearest supermarket is in Thumersbach (approx. 2.5 km away), but there are also many stores to and from the AreitXpress (Schüttdorf).
In chalet Edelweiss am See there is a ski storage room with ski boot dryer and plenty of parking space in front of the door. In addition, there is Wi-Fi and a sandwich service is available.
Additional rental equipment you pick up in Zell am See or Kaprun, the ski rental is in the center of both villages and at a number of ski elevators. Ski lessons start from the AreitXpress in Zell am See (other locations on request).
In all likelihood, the ski area near Zell am See itself will be closed from April 7, 2024. From then on, your ski pass can of course still be used on the Kitzsteinhorn glacier at Kaprun.
This type consists of 6 apartments, making it ideal for large groups that want to stay under one roof, but can also appreciate some privacy.
In addition to the six apartments, you have exclusive access to a professional kitchen with dining area suitable for 50 people. This fully equipped and completely renovated kitchen includes six hotplates, an oven, microwave, refrigerator, freezer, coffee maker, kettle and two dishwashers. The kitchen and dining area are located on the second floor, right next to the front door.
4-6 person apartment Schmittenhöhe:
This apartment is located on the second floor. Living room with a sitting area, television and dining area. Open kitchen with a stove, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, coffee maker and kettle.
Two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with two single beds and a bunk bed. Bathroom with shower. Separate toilet.
6-person apartment Imbachhorn:
This apartment is located on the second floor. Kitchen with a stove, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, coffee maker, kettle and television. Furthermore, this apartment has a balcony.
Three bedrooms, two with a double bed and one with two single beds. Two bathrooms with shower and toilet. Separate toilet.
6-7 person apartment Schwalbenwand:
This apartment is located on the second floor. Living room with a 1-person sofa bed, television and dining area. Separate kitchen with a 4-burner stove, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, coffee maker and kettle. Furthermore, this apartment has a balcony.
Three bedrooms, two of which each have a double bed. Through one of these rooms you get to the third bedroom with two single beds. One bathroom with a bathtub and a separate shower room. Separate toilet.
6-8 person apartment Hundstein:
This apartment is located on the third floor. Spacious kitchen with a stove, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, coffee maker, kettle and television. Furthermore, this apartment has a balcony overlooking the lake 'Zeller See'.
Three bedrooms, two with a double bed and one family room with a double bed and a bunk bed (185 cm). Two bathrooms with bath or shower and toilet.
8-person apartment Wiesbachhorn:
This apartment is located on the third floor. Kitchen with a stove, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, coffee maker, kettle and television. Furthermore, this apartment has a balcony overlooking the lake 'Zeller See'.
Four bedrooms, two of which have a double bed. One room with bunk beds and through this room you reach the fourth bedroom with two single beds. Three bathrooms (all en-suite) with shower and toilet.
7-9 person apartment Kitzsteinhorn:
This apartment is located on the fourth floor (= top floor). Living room with a double sofa bed, television and dining area. Kitchen with a stove, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, coffee maker and kettle. Furthermore, this apartment has a balcony overlooking the lake 'Zeller See'.
Four bedrooms, one with a single bed and one with a bunk bed. The third bedroom has a double bed, through this room you enter the fourth bedroom with two single beds. Three bathrooms, two with shower and toilet and one with bath and toilet.
