General description

Alps Zillertal is in a lovely location in the charming village of Mayrhofen. Both gondola lifts are just a 5-minute walk away, allowing you to explore different parts of the ski area. The Penkenbahn takes you to the large Ski Zillertal 3000 ski area, where you can enjoy plenty of variety and challenges. Experienced skiers can, for example, tackle the famous black run ‘Harakiri’, with a gradient of up to 78 per cent. The Ahornbahn lets you discover a completely different side of Mayrhofen. This gondola takes you to the smaller Ahorn ski area, with around 14 kilometres of slopes. Beginners in particular can have a great time here on the easy-to-navigate runs. Both lifts are also great for non-skiers, as there are restaurants offering stunning views, and from the Penkenbahn there is a lovely walking route down. Your ski pass is valid across the entire Zillertal Arena, with over 500 km of slopes, so you can also ski or snowboard in one of the other ski areas in the Zillertal. This means you can enjoy plenty of variety during your winter sports holiday! Insider’s tip: early December is a top time for skiing in the Zillertal – it’s quiet and, in recent years, has already been properly wintry!

Mayrhofen has a typical Austrian charm and is known for its lively après-ski scene. This cosy village has a high street lined with countless shops and restaurant terraces. It really invites you to take a leisurely stroll and enjoy a coffee or a drink. So there’s plenty to do in this village for non-skiers too. You can also enjoy a lovely walk along the River Ziller on the ‘Promenade’, and there’s an indoor swimming pool with a large spa area right in the centre of the village, the ‘Erlebnisbad Mayrhofen’. If you’re looking for a fun and thrilling activity, you can go tobogganing – both during the day and in the evening – on the Gerlosstein toboggan run in Hainzenberg.

Alps Zillertal has three chalets in two buildings and two flats in one building across the road. They are all modernly furnished and well laid out. All accommodation types have access to the ski storage room. There are a total of 7 covered parking spaces and 5 uncovered parking spaces. These cannot be reserved.

Layout

Bright living/dining room with a dining area seating at least 8 people and a fully equipped kitchen. There is a separate toilet on the ground floor.

Three bedrooms, one of which has a double bed and an en-suite bathroom with a sauna, shower and toilet. One walk-through bedroom with a double bed. This room leads into the third bedroom, which has a bunk bed. These two bedrooms share the second bathroom, which has a bath, shower and toilet.

This chalet has two storeys and features a terrace in the garden and two balconies.
There is a sauna and ski storage room in the basement.
