Sunny and snow-certain winter-sport village with lively apres-ski
Les Deux Alpes is an excellent winter sport destination for the beginning skier. One of the most notable things are the many different forms of architecture. The village offers residence to 35.000 recreationists and has 200 km of slopes. Les Deux Alpes is known for it's good nightlife, snow guarantee, the many sun hours and the excellent off-piste skiing possibilities.
In the southern part of the village you'll find Village Venosc. This is a cosy and quiet part of the village. This is nearby a small part of the slopes, named Pied Moutet and these slopes are usually not very crowded. The biggest part of the 200 km of slopes is at the foot of the La Meije.
For snowboarders there is a funpark with a halfpipe, spine and several jumps in the Secteur La Toura. You'll also find a boardercross here.
In Vénosc and in some parts of the village you can enjoy cross-country skiing. Furthermore, a trail can be found on the glacier and there are some off-piste tracks available as well. (guidance is required).
There are no special winter-footpaths. People that like to walk should go to Alpe d'Huez or Serre Chevalier instead. Here you can go snowshoeiing and hiking.
