Le Corbier

The village Le Corbier is a modern ski area, found in the year 1967. A great advantage of this destination is that most accommodations are directly situated at the piste, which makes doorstep skiing one of the possibilities. Furthermore, the village is centrally situated in the ski area of Les Sybelles, which consist of 310 km of slopes.

The ski area of Le Corbier is quit large, suitable for intermediate and advanced skiers. From the Pointe du Corbier (2265 m.) there are several red and black sloped leading to the centre of the area. From here you can ski down to the La Toussuire lift or choose one of the blue slopes that lead to the village Saint Jean d’Arves. The experienced skiers wont be very challenged in the ski area of Le Corbier, but there are many other parts of the Les Sybelles ski region where adrenaline will rush. In Le Corbier you will find a half pipe and a fun park.

Le Corbier is not known for its nightlife, but there is an offer of several cosy bars. In the centre there are also several restaurants, shops, supermarkets, day care, a ski school, an indoor swimming pool, an ice rank and several sport facilities. Also hikers can enjoy themselves in and around Le Corbier and cross-country skiers can find trails just outside the village – of which two are connected to the 14 km cross-country network at La Toussuire.
