Arc 2000 is the highest situated village in Les Arcs and offers a splendid view on the snowy mountaintops. From all the villages that are situated in Les Arcs, Arc 2000 is the starting point for experienced skiers. This is also because of the nearby situated black slopes (of which the longest one in Europe). You'll also find several red and especially blue pistes. This makes the village also an excellent starting point for the experienced skier.

True daredevils can try to set a time on the Olympic Speed Skiing slope on the Aiguille Rouge, which is situated at an altitude of 2710 metres and has an angle of 70%.
Arc 2000 consists of a higher and lower area. You can travel between these using a lift or by using the drag lift on the slopes.
The higher area has a central square where you'll find e.g. the ski school, lift pass ticket window, a bowling alley, a supermarket, several terraces and restaurants. You can also find a skating rink here. The accommodations in this area are often a bit older and a bit more modest. One exception to this is the newly built Cimes des Arcs from Chalet des Neiges.
The lower area is more quiet and here you'll find the newer, more luxurious accommodations like Chalet des Neiges and chalet Altitude. The drag lift grants you access to the higher part and pistes of the skiing area. In this part of Arc 2000 you'll find several ski shops, bars and a supermarket.
