Nendaz

In the heart of Les Quatre Vallées at an altitude of 1350 meters the village Nendaz is situated. It is a large and modern ski village where families with children are set as top priority. In respond there are several facilities available for children like a ski school and a day care. Also for winter sport lovers without children this destination offers entertainment as après-ski can be enjoyed in one of the diverse bars or discotheques. Other facilities offered in Nendaz are supermarkets, several shops, wellness and an ice-skating court.

From Nendaz a cable-car departs to the restaurant on top of the Tracouet (2200 meters), from where most other lifts also leave. All slopes from here are blue, except for two red ones, which makes this area ideal for beginners and families with children. From the Tracouet you can ski down to Nendaz or Siviez, which is the center of the whole ski region and from here there is a direct connection to the areas of Les Quatre Vallées.

Nendaz is the ideal destination for the beginning snowboarders. There are several freestyle and half pipe courses offered and also snowboard lessons are given for children and adults. Below the Mont Fort a fun park and a half pipe are found.

For hikers this area is perfect as there is 100 km of hike paths offered. Through the tourism office an overview is obtainable, which shows all 15 available paths. There is also 35 km of snowshoeing trails in the area and a map is available at the tourism office.
