Just outside the picturesque Donnersbachwald, in the Schaupp district, lies the small-scale chalet park Riesneralm. The chalet park was built recently and natural materials were used, including lots of wood, giving it a luxurious feel. All chalets have a private (infrared) sauna and can accommodate groups of between 8 and 12 people. The chalet park is located in the middle of the nature of the Donnersbachtal, by a babbling brook and away from the hustle and bustle. An ideal place for a family vacation and to unwind.
About 1.5 km from the chalet park you will find the Riesnerbahn, the chairlift that takes you up to the Riesneralm. At this valley station you will also find a private children's ski area with five runs, elevators and a ski school, ideal for little ski fanatics. Also located at the valley station of the Riesnerbahn is a ski rental with ski depot, where they also sell some food and a bar/restaurant (open only during the day).
From Donnersbach you can also explore the slopes at Planneralm, die Tauplitz, Loser Altaussee and Kaiserau. These ski resorts are about 30 to 60 minutes' drive from the Riesneralm. Want to explore more slopes and spend a day skiing in a larger ski area? The Ski Amadé Schladming-Dachstein is about a 40-minute drive away and here you will find 123 km of interconnected slopes.
A supermarket is located in Donnersbach, about 13 km from the Riesneralm chalets. Close to the chalet park (about 200 meters) you will find a cozy, typical Austrian "Uhrige Hütte" where you can enjoy a drink.
Groups of young people under the age of 25 are not allowed in the Riesneralm chalets.
There is a charging facility for electric cars at a local rate.
The chalet is spread over two floors.
On the ground floor, there is an entrance hall with a toilet. Cosy living room with a seating area and dining table. Open-plan kitchen equipped with, amongst other things, hobs, an oven, a microwave, a dishwasher, a fridge-freezer, a toaster, a filter coffee machine and a kettle. Access to the (partly covered) terrace. Bathroom with shower and sauna.
On the first floor, there are four bedrooms, three of which each have a double bed. One bedroom has a double bed, a double sofa bed and a television. Two bathrooms, each with a shower and toilet. Separate toilet.
The chalet also features a hot tub, washing machine, tumble dryer and ski boot dryers. There are three parking spaces at the chalet.
Although this type of chalet has more sleeping places, the maximum permitted occupancy is 9 people.

Beautiful new house, but expensive in relation to the size and possibilities of the ski area
