Just outside the picturesque Donnersbachwald, in the Schaupp district, lies the small-scale chalet park Riesneralm. The chalet park was built recently and natural materials were used, including lots of wood, giving it a luxurious feel. From Donnersbach you can also explore the slopes at Planneralm, die Tauplitz, Loser Altaussee and Kaiserau. These ski resorts are about 30 to 60 minutes' drive from the Riesneralm. Want to explore more slopes and spend a day skiing in a larger ski area? The Ski Amadé Schladming-Dachstein is about a 40-minute drive away and here you will find 123 km of interconnected slopes.
