Annelies is a rustic chalet-apartment, quietly located on the sunny hill of Aschau im Zillertal, in the area of Tiefenbach. The downhill ski slope (only for experienced skiers) to Aschau (ski area Hochzillertal-Hochfügen) is found at only 200 metres distance from the chalet. From Aschau there are several ski areas accessible by free ski bus (200 meter distance) or by car. At 6.9 km from the accommodation there is a ski lift situated, leading to Kaltenbach and offering access to the Hochfügen-Hochzillertal ski area. From Zell am Ziller, found at 6 km, you can access the ski area of the Zillertal Arena.
The cosy centre of Aschau is found at 2.5 km from the chalet where you will find a supermarket, several restaurants and a number of bars.

Apartment is located 2 kilometers outside the village of Aschau on top of a mountain. So car necessary. Furthermore, it is dated and actually needs modernization. WiFi was unfortunately bad. Village Aschau is nothing to do except some restaurants.
In Aschau itself you can not go up and so must take the bus to Kaltenbach or other surrounding villages. From this apartment runs after the high season only a regiobusje where you have to pay for. In the village itself, the ski bus still runs. The family is very nice and helpful.
